All moves are automatically covered by the standard liability (valuation) for the industry, which is $0.60 per pound per article. This amount will typically cover the costs required to repair damaged items, but not replace them. Certain items you have may not be adequately covered under this option. Ameritex Movers has less than a 1% damage claim rate but it is recommended that insurance be purchased to cover very valuable or delicate items. Another alternative is to move the valuable or delicate items yourself instead of buying insurance to protect those few items.
